| Rik van den Bergh (b. May 10,1970); baritone saxophone/bass clarinet; Royal Conservatory of The Hague (1992-1996); associated with The New Thundering Swingmates, The Hague All Star Big Band, Peter Ypma & His Eleven and Baileo Big Band (movie >>>); he won the Japanese Kobe Jazz Award 1999 and performed in Japan (1999/2000); he had his organ/baritone quartet Swingmatism from 1999 untill 2004; this quartet toured with Teddy Edwards and 'Sax' Gordon Beadle. In 2007 Rik recorded a tribute to Serge Chaloff wich got great response from press and audience alike. At this time Rik is a also a member of the The Reeds, Young Sinatras and the Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra. |
