Rik van den Bergh (baritone saxophone, bass clarinet) is one of the few Dutch saxophonists who dedicated himself completely to the baritone only. His playing is rooted in that of Pepper Adams. Rik had his own baritone/organ-quartet Swingmatism for years and was seated in the Young Sinatras, Peter Ypma & His Eleven among other bands. Rik was the baritone saxophonist of the Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra untill the band was disbanded earlier this year. His most recent recording is 'Reserge', a tribute to the legendary Serge Chaloff.
